Meet Bill Krieger

Bill Krieger is the author behind Working Stiff and Shot On Location — stories that blend the grit of classic crime fiction with layered, character-driven storytelling. A lifelong New Yorker — no matter how far he roams — Krieger writes with an eye for the city’s contradictions: its beauty and brutality, ambition and decay, all bleeding into every page.

Before turning to mystery fiction, Krieger served as a Creative Director at some of Madison Avenue’s most prestigious ad agencies, shaping campaigns for HBO, Time Warner, and other cultural powerhouses. These days, he lives with his wife, Arlene, in Northern Virginia, surrounded by an ever-growing library of books on police procedures, murder methods, and historical oddities.

He is also the founder of Murder Quill Press, an indie publisher of mystery fiction devoted to compelling voices, unforgettable characters, and twist-driven storytelling.
